Day 01

7:00 am: Depart from Hanoi to Cat Ba island by express bus (private transport is upon request).

11:30: Arrive at Cat Ba Island where our staff will meet you. A fresh lunch and Vietnamese dishes is served, and then we will have a short brief on Ben Beo pier. We will paddle across Lan Ha bay to visit Tay Keo Lagoon.  Tides permitting we will take you kayaking in to the Ba Do (Red Lady) Cave and then keep kayaks back out to visit pristine beaches & peaceful lagoons. Following the briefing you head out to visit the traditional floating fisherman’s village, and learn about the unique lifestyle of the residents. You will see their floating houses and fish farm. There is time for relaxing and swimming before paddling through the scattered islands. Transfer to our peaceful wooden Bungalow located in the Otter valley.

Day 02

8:30am: After a yummy breakfast at Cabalina Grove. We will enjoy a trekking up to Ngu Lam peak for a stunning panorama views over the Catba natural park before heading down to explore Trung Trang cave, this is one of the most beautiful cave on the island. Transfer back to The Mangrove restaurant for a delicious lunch before going back to Hanoi around 17h30 , end of services.

Daily express bus from Hanoi to Cat Ba Island

There are two options to get from Hanoi to Cat Ba Island.

1/Express bus

• Pick up: At your hotel in Hanoi’s old quarter 6:00
• Departure Times:
  Hanoi – Cat Ba 7:00 & 14:00   Cat Ba – Hanoi 9:00 & 16:00
• Travel time estimate: 3 hour and 30 minutes
• Cost: $17/person/per way. Includes Hai Phong – Cat Ba Hydrofoil ticket

The express bus to Cat Ba departs Hanoi and you are driven to the ferry dock in Hai Phong where you board the ferry and take the 30 minuet ride to Cat Ba Island. Once there you get on another bus that takes you into Cat Ba Town where we meet you to start your adventure. Book Now

2/ Private transfer

• Shuttle bus from Hanoi: $12/person/way
  Shuttle bus from Tam Coc/Ninh Binh: $14/person/way
