Ha Long Bay, in the Gulf of Tonkin, includes some 1,600 islands and islets, forming a spectacular seascape of limestone pillars. The extension of the property comprises a multitude of limestone islands and towering limestone pillars rising from the sea, with eroded notches, arches and caves creating a picturesque and beautiful landscape. Seven key ecosystem types are found here and the area is home to threatened endemic species such as the Cat Ba Langur (Trachypithecus poliocephalus), the Cat Ba Tiger Gecko (Goniurosaurus Catbaensis), and the Asian Small-clawed Otter (Aonyx cinerea).

Tripadvisor reviews

“Great way to experience Halong Bay”

Blue Swimmer Adventure tours gave me and my friends a fantastic experience of 03 days on Halong Bay in an Classic wooden Junk (boat). I really valued the experience of taking this time in such a beautiful place. The guide we had was a local fisherman who could speak reasonable english with a local Vietnamese crew with no or limited english. The guide really allowed our trip to be targeted to our needs and was really accommodating and answered all our questions. Our guide was really personable and generous with his time. We had opportunities to swim and kayak. we also had a day out on an island where we went for a short bike ride to a small village and climbed a steep hill. Make sure you have good hiking shoes for this walk and prepared for a hard walk. The food was simple but tasty and fresh. The only downside was the lower deck was very hot to sleep in even with a fan but our visit was at the start of Summer. The bathroom facilities were basic but we were prepared for this.
